Als neues Soloprojekt des Bieler Musikers Bertrand Vorpe (Harp, Los Orioles, Edmond Jefferson & Sons, Acid Cocoas) taucht Ruisseau Cerise sofort in ein täuschend naives Universum aus Sanftheit und Licht ein, das sich zwischen Sébastien Tellier Stil- Dream-Pop und moderaten electronica bewegt und manchmal nicht weit vom sexy pop des kalifornischen Trios Khruangbin entfernt ist.                                                                                     Die erste EP (Coming soon on Blizzard Audio Club 2024) von RUISSEAU CERISE wird folgendermassen beschrieben: Umgeben von einer ätherischen, durchscheinenden Stimme, die subtil in die Mäander der Kitsch-Liebe eintaucht, brauchte Ruisseau Cerise nur sechs Tracks, um eine einzigartige, eingängige musikalische Identität zu etablieren.  Die Lyrics des Eröffnungsstücks der EP lassen nichts anderes vermuten! Der Bieler Künstler umschmeichelt uns mit seiner Mischung aus Lo-Fi-Synthies, reduzierten Gitarren und täuschend naivem Gesang. Ein Beispiel dafür ist das grandiose "Duden" mit seinen verträumten Riffs. Dann folgt "Arbres", ein tanzbares, nostalgisches Liebesversprechen, wie ein ausklingender Sommerabend, und mit "Fusée", einer Traum-Pop-Reise in Pastellfarben, hebt man zum "Schwebeplaneten" ab. Mit "Corail", das uns im weichen Vlies des Ruisseau-Cerise-Universums hält, brauchen wir nicht zu weit zu gehen. "Staune über das Unbedeutende, öffne deine Augen von Zeit zu Zeit": das ist der einleitende Satz, ein subtiler Hinweis auf eine wiederzuentdeckende Lebendigkeit. In knapp dreissig Minuten wiegt uns diese EP in den Schlaf und lässt uns fast mit Schaum vor dem Mund zurück.

A new solo project from Biel-based musician Bertrand Vorpe (Harp, Los Orioles, Edmond Jefferson & Sons, Acid Cocoas), Ruisseau Cerise immediately plunges us into a deceptively naïve universe of softness and light, navigating between Sébastien Tellier-s t yl e d ream-pop and Modera t- s t yl e electronica, passing at times not far from the sexy pop of Californian trio Khruangbin. All surrounded by an ethereal, diaphanous voice that subtly drips into the meanders of kitsch love. 

EP: It took only six tracks for Ruisseau Cerise to establish a unique, catchy musical identity. And the lyrics of the EP’s opening track won’t say otherwise! The Biel-based artist caresses us with his blend of lo-fi synths, pared-down guitars and deceptively naïve vocals. A case in point is the magnificent “Duden” and its dreamy riffs. Then comes “Arbres”, a danceable, nostalgic promise of love, like a summer evening coming to an end. Take-off for the “hovering-planet“ with "Fusée", a dream-pop journey in pastel colours. No need to descend too far with "Corail", which keeps us in the soft fleece of the Ruisseau Cerise universe. "Marvel at the insignificant; open your eyes from time to time": that's the landing word, subtle advice of a naivety to be rediscovered. In just under thirty minutes, this EP lulls us to sleep, almost leaving us foaming at the mouth.
